Geographic restrictions
KalshiArb is a software product and is available globally. Trading on Kalshi itselfis gated by KalshiEX LLC's rules and by U.S. state-by-state regulation. Eligibility is your responsibility. If in doubt, check Kalshi's own eligibility page or do not trade.
United States
- Kalshi is a CFTC-regulated Designated Contract Market and operates broadly across the United States.
- Some U.S. states have challenged or restricted specific contract categories, in particular sports event contracts. As of writing, Kalshi's sports markets are unavailable or contested in a small set of states (notably Nevada, with various other state regulators issuing cease-and-desist letters at different times).
- Election-related contracts have their own legal history — read Kalshi's rules and the latest CFTC/court orders before trading them.
- The Autonomous AI Agent geo-fences automatically. If your IP or account residence is in a restricted state for a given contract category, the agent refuses to submit and logs the refusal.
Outside the United States
- Kalshi has historically required U.S. residency for its core market. International eligibility may change as Kalshi expands. Check Kalshi's onboarding flow for the current rules.
- KalshiArb (the website, scanner, calculator) is informational and globally accessible. Trading on Kalshi itself is governed entirely by Kalshi's onboarding rules.
Always check the contract
Each Kalshi market has a rules document and an eligibility section. Restrictions can change as state regulators act. KalshiArb tries to keep this page current, but the canonical source is Kalshi itself.
